In fact, many landlords even require tenants to show proof of rental insurance at the time they sign a lease with their new renter.
Before starting the search for your next rental unit, you should analyze how much space you are going to need and how much you can comfortably afford to pay each month.
The following is a list of documents you should be prepared to submit along with your rental application.
*Credit Report
*W-2 & current pay stubs
*Letter of reference from current landlord
*Verification of your salary and employment history
*A copy of your driver’s license
*A copy of social security card
*Proof of sufficient funds for first month rent, fees and security deposit
You will need to gather all the above mentioned documentation prior to meeting your rental agent to completing your application and show proof of funds for the deposits and fees required.
