Finding your new rental home is as easy as 1-2-3!
Before starting the search for your next rental unit, you should analyze how much space you are going to need and how much you can comfortably afford to pay each month.
The following is a list of documents you should be prepared to submit along with your rental application.
- • Credit Report
- • W-2 and current pay stubs
- • Letter of reference from your current and previous landlord
- • Verification of your salary and employment history
- • A copy of your Driver’s License
- • A copy of your social security card
- • Proof of sufficient funds for the first month’s rent, fees and security deposit
You will need to gather all the above mentioned documentation prior to meeting with your rental agent to complete your application and show proof of funds for the deposits and fees required.
As a new tenant you are going to be required to provide the Landlord with whatever security deposit that is required by that particular landlord which can be the equivalent of one or two times the current monthly rent for the unit. You are also responsible to pay the fee for your rental agent, which is typically equal to one month’s rent of the current listing.

Renters InsuranceProtection = peace of mind
Whether you plan to rent a single family home, duplex, townhome, condo, loft, studio or apartment, you should have renters insurance to protect your belongings and your liability.
